About Me

Elk migration

Hey there! I'm Maxine, the one behind the camera and soon to be adventure partner!

carry deep roots for outdoor adventure as well as capturing the everyday details that escape our eye on a daily basis. Through my visual approach, I aim at inspiring individuals to see the beauty in themselves within this world. You can catch me often using natural light and the environment in harmony with my portraits to capture these special moments. My objective is to fill every photoshoot with it’s own personal adventure in search of the soulful frame. It’s not unusual you’ll catch me laying in the wet grass for a lower perspective, hanging out of a moving window, or even wadding through a body of water in search of the perfect angle.

I’m strong rooted in the outdoors and love sessions where I can take you to explore your new favorite location, snow or shine. I reside in Western Colorado as a ski instructor, and will jump at any chance to explore my backyard by climbing a mountain, relaxing in a natural hot spring, or moving to some yoga. It’s not often you’ll catch me without my camera, but when you do, I’ll usually be occupied creating art, wood burning, macrame, painting, and embroidery just to name a few!

My interest in photography sparked the summer of 6th grade when I received my first film camera as a gift before moving states. I remember taking photos of everything I could because I didn't want to forget the house I grew up in. In that moment, I realized photography was going to be an important aspect of my life and it's easy to say I haven’t put a camera down since. Fast forward a few years and a handful of point and shoot cameras later: I saved up for my first DSLR my sophomore year of high school and became absolutely immersed. After years of exhausting my resources and researching all the information I could find about photography, I knew this was the passion that would drive my career path. From there, I enrolled in school at Colorado Mountain College, where I received my AAS of Professional Photography as of 2020. Currently, you can find me traveling in a 1987 Chevy G30 short school bus.
